Free Leadership Masterclass
Learn what actually transforms leadership capability in this 40-minute free session on Tuesday. The research reveals a surprising truth...
Happy Friday
My calendar has been absolutely packed these past few weeks. I've been speaking with school leaders around the globe, exploring their experiences with leadership development programmes. The findings are genuinely eye-opening.
What struck me most?
A whopping 82% of the leaders I interviewed said that community and connections with their cohort was the most valuable aspect of their development experience. Not the content. Not the qualification itself. The people.
Yet most traditional leadership qualifications focus almost exclusively on delivering information rather than building these networks of support and shared learning.
Another clear insight from my interviews: 91% of leaders expressed frustration with the balance between theory and practice. One leader told me their programme "provided good background but lacked practicality" leaving them with knowledge but insufficient skills to implement it.
Leaders everywhere reported that content often doesn't translate to their specific contexts. Leadership challenges vary dramatically based on location, school type, and community needs.
I believe school leadership development system is broken. The qualification-focused approach is letting our profession down, and it's time for something different.
That's why I'm hosting a free webinar next Tuesday (13th May) where I'll be sharing what truly transforms school leadership capability. I'll reveal the 8 Leadership Levers that make a real difference and explain why authentic leadership consistently outperforms everything you've been taught in traditional programmes.
If you're tired of leadership development that doesn't deliver real-world results, join me for this 40-minute session. I promise it will challenge your thinking about leadership growth.
I'd love to hear your experiences too. What's been the most valuable leadership development you've undertaken? Was it a formal qualification or something else entirely?
Hit reply and let me know. I read every response personally.
Here's to leading with impact,
Shane
